Educational Disclaimer
Important information about our game development education programs and what you can realistically expect from your learning experience at Arthenar.
Educational Purpose and Realistic Expectations
This is an educational platform focused on game development skills.
We teach programming, design concepts, and technical skills — not business strategies or employment guarantees.
What Our Programs Actually Provide
Our courses starting in September 2025 and January 2026 are designed to teach practical game development skills using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and various game engines. You'll learn to code, understand game mechanics, and build projects for your portfolio.
But here's what we won't promise: We don't guarantee you'll land a specific job, earn a particular salary, or achieve any predetermined career outcome. The game development industry is competitive, and success depends on many factors beyond our control — your dedication, market conditions, networking abilities, and honestly, some luck.
About Employment Outcomes
Some of our graduates have found work at game studios, others freelance, and many continue in different tech roles. Some are still looking for their first opportunity months after completing our program. This variety reflects the reality of the job market, not our teaching quality.
- We provide career guidance and portfolio reviews, but job placement isn't guaranteed
- Industry connections and networking opportunities are available, but outcomes vary
- Your success largely depends on continued learning beyond our structured courses
- Market demand for game developers fluctuates based on economic conditions
Learning Investment and Time Commitment
Our autumn 2025 cohort requires approximately 15-20 hours of study per week. The winter intensive starting January 2026 is more demanding at 25-30 hours weekly. These aren't casual programs — you'll need genuine commitment to programming practice and project development.
No Guaranteed Income Claims:
We never promise specific salary amounts, guaranteed employment, or "get rich quick" outcomes. Game development is a skill that takes years to master professionally.
Social Casino Games vs. Real Money Gaming
Our educational games are social casino games designed for learning purposes only. These are NOT gambling applications and involve NO real money transactions. Students learn game mechanics, user interface design, and programming concepts through these entertainment-focused projects.
All games developed in our courses are:
- Educational tools for learning programming concepts
- Social entertainment games with no monetary prizes
- Compliant with Canadian regulations for educational software
- Designed to teach game development skills, not gambling mechanics
